Time for an alternative

In 2014, Microsoft released the Surface Pro 3, thinking that it will represent the change the industry needs. It was designed to be the next step, a leap to link the more and more increased demands of mobility, stability and performance with the maneuverability of an operating system still unmatched, the largest platform connecting so many people around the world, re-surging with each edition coming out.

What they needed was a click, a way to make everything feel smoother. Looking at the premises, they had it good, but a certain feeling was lacking, the one to make you realize it is just what you need.

This is what the Surface Pro 4 wants to do, replacing your laptop with a tablet, to make you understand you are always on the go, ready to business or leisure, no matter what or who is surrounding you, just like the modern man that you should be.

Wise and strong?

I still wonder why Microsoft still refuses to include the Type Cover keyboard at the default purchase, thus rendering you the only choice left, which is buying one. If we don’t focus on this, one other thing to be said is one to be said about everybody in the industry: the battery power, lacking durability, giving that feeling of losing connectivity, maybe when needed the most.

Judging by the specs, they look pretty stable and strong, i5-6300U 2.4Ghz CPU, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD of storage space, 128MB Intel HD Graphics 520 all coming with the still freshly released, maybe still unstable in certain areas, Windows 10 Pro. The display is a 12.3 inches, just a point larger than the predecessor, holding a 2736×1824 pixels resolution, and in this regard, there’s nothing bad to comment.

It’s an illustrious work, the resolution is impacted to fit for the screen’s width and as a consequence not a single unwanted pixel will show his squared face, a feature surpassing the competition so far. All this is possible  thanks to the PixelSense technology. The pen has a better surface at the screen-touching end, and is considered the best they had used so far for this series.

Give it a look, a thought, a test. Maybe your laptop will become just a memory, a way to look retro, a simplistic resemblance of the days belonging to the stories for your grandchildren.
