In 1906 Montblanc created the ‘Rouge et Noir’ fountain pen and at that time it was considered to be an amazing technical improvement, because you no longer needed to dip the pen in the ink to write. Now Montblanc is celebrating the 110th anniversary of this event and they have made a new collection for the occasion. It is a nice way to celebrate the innovative spirit that made the company famous.

In case you are thinking why should you use a fountain pen in these modern times here are some valid reasons: well first of all they will make your handwriting look so much better, and you can’t write everything on your laptop; secondly fountain pens are less disposable than any other pens and once you find a good one you can stick with it; and thirdly they are so much more interesting than a ballpoint pen could ever be, just think of all the ink color options you would have.
