The 90s is making a comeback…at least that is the impression you get with Lousy NY’s Spring Collection for 2019.
The New York-based label has dipped into the the not too distant past and drawn inspiration from a decade that perhaps will be best remembered for being the last of the old millennium…and boy bands.
That is probably the vibe that the label seeks to channel with a clothing range that exhibits some of the more vivid colours that are making a comeback on fashion ramps: baby pink, teal, and the like.
The standout piece of the collection is a long sleeve tee with a picture of The Pussy Posse (Toby Maguire, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kevin Connolly) printed on the back.
The designers have been quoted as saying, “The new collection imagines life for the youth who are trapped in between the change, sort of like that shift between Junior and Senior year of college when you blossom into your true self.”
