It’s not news that high-end luxury automakers develop accessories for their flagships, such as a watch or a smartphone. However, when the actual product does seem to fit (tech-wise) within the standards of consecrated phone makers, it’s worth a detailed look.

Tonino Lamborghini Alpha One is a rather complicated name, mixing Italian roots with a more modern, futuristic approach. Before looking at the specs we must mention Lamborghini’s sales line on this: LiquidAlloy.

No one knows for sure what LiquidAlloy is supposed to mean – whether it’s a brand new technology (unlikely) or just a marketing line, only time will tell. As mentioned earlier, Tonino Lamborghini Alpha One is similar in specs with current high-end smartphones:

  • 2k AMOLED screen
  • 5.5″
  • 20 megapixel rear facing camera
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 3,250 mAh battery

On the other hand though, the price tag is roughly three times higher than devices with similar specs. That’s right; this branded smartphone will set you away from no less than $2,500.  You could get 3 Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphones for the same amount, but that’s none of our business.

The smartphone does however encapsulate the Italian luxury, featuring hand-sewn black leather and an opulent Lamborghini badge on the rear.

Thankfully, although the price tag is higher than most gadget (or car) enthusiasts would pay and definitely surpasses its functions, the Lamborghini smartphone is actually functional and copes with today’s needs. Not like the older, Ferrari-branded Vertu series.
