[adsense300gray]The Jaguar C-X17 Crossover Concept is the first attempt from the iconic British manufacturer to create a sports crossover. Until now, Jaguar was well known for its luxury limousines, but with the Frankfurt Motor Show almost here, they decided to provide us with a dose of Unobtainium.

Because the Jaguar C-X17 crossover is that kind of stuff everybody wants, but guess what : they can’t have it. Yes, it’s just a concept, for now. The Jaguar C-X17 Crossover  features a brand new chassis architecture, a unibody design made of aluminum and this allows the company to produce simultaneously different types of cars on the same assembly line.

The new aluminum unibody technology offers a strong yet lightweight chassis that is very stiff compared to the current models on the market. Along with that, the new Jaguar C-X17 Crossover will incorporate green technologies, for example the aluminum alloy used in its construction will be made from recycled materials, like Coca Cola cans.

Anyway, keep in mind that the Jaguar C-X17 Crossover  is just a concept, that means that it’s very unlikely to see it on the roads in its current shape and form. The good news is that Jaguar confirmed that they will use the aluminum unibody architecture in their future midsize sedans starting from 2015.
