Since a viral video from the Don’t Worry, Darling premiere showed Harry Styles spitting on Chris Pine, Styles has denied ever doing so.

A scene from the movie’s Venice International Film Festival premiere yesterday (September 5) was extensively posted on social media, leading many viewers to assume that Styles had spit on co-star Chris Pine when he took a seat next to him.

Styles’ representatives have now told sources that „this is not true.” Additionally, Pine’s agent issued a formal denial of the occurrence to sources.

“Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.”

Don’t Worry Darling’s director Olivia Wilde addressed rumors that she and star Florence Pugh were feuding at a press conference before the film’s premiere in response to rumors that the two had a falling out during production.

“As for all the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, the internet feeds itself. I don’t feel the need to contribute; I think it’s sufficiently well-nourished.” Wilde added after referring to Pugh as a „force.” I don’t feel the need to give because I believe it is fully fed.

Shia LaBeouf’s departure was discussed during the conference, and Wilde was questioned about it. She refuted her assertion that he was sacked from the movie to foster a “safe, trusting environment.”  But before Wilde could respond, the question was apparently denied by a moderator.

In the psychological suspense film Don’t Worry Darling, young lovers Jack Chambers (Styles) and Alice (Pugh) are married happily until she develops suspicions about a covert project he’s working on. The movie also stars Nick Kroll, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, and Pugh in addition to Styles, Pine, and Pugh.
