Recently Demi Lovato came out as Non-binary and explained they are comfortable with she/her and they/them pronouns. Other accounts cite Lovato as saying that they had lately begun to use feminine pronouns in addition to neutral ones.
“For me, I’m such a fluid person when it comes to my gender, my sexuality, my music. Especially last year, my energy was balanced in my masculine and feminine energy. When I was faced with the choice of walking into a bathroom and it said ‘women’ and ‘men,’ I didn’t feel like there was a bathroom for me. I didn’t feel necessarily like a woman. I didn’t feel like a man. I just felt like a human. And that’s what they/them is about for me. It’s just about feeling human at your core. Recently, I’ve been feeling more feminine, and so I’ve adopted she/her again.” – Demi Lovato explained.
The first time Lovato spoke about her gender fluidity was in May of last year when they said that their choice to start using non-gendered pronouns “best represents the fluidity I feel in my gender expression and allows me to feel most authentic and true to the person I both know I am and am still discovering.”
It is normal for people to identify themselves using several different pronouns. For instance, Halsey informed her audience in March 2021 that she had started using the pronouns she/they and thanked them for their support.
The eighth studio album by Lovato, titled “Holy Fvck,” is presently being prepared and will be released on August 19. She made the album announcement in June, just before the first song “Skin of My Teeth” was made available. On Jimmy Kimmel Live last month, the singer delivered a brand-new song called “Substance.”
It is important to respect a celebrities identity especially when they went out of their way to express their feelings for their fans through music.
