White, black, cocktail or chameleon – every tone and colorway has been covered by sneaker makers in their glorious attempts of catching the eye of the public. As the summer season is here, so are the numerous sneaker releases, featuring breathable, lightweight materials and catchy designs. Check out 5 sneakers that caught our attention this week, below:
1. NikeLab ACG Lupinek Flyknit Low SFB
The ACG collection is still fresh, but Nike didn’t waste any time and brought another piece to the set. Flyknit technology is fused together with other unexpected materials, creating a functional and sleek silhouette. The sneaker is available in Black / Pure Platinum or Black / Dark Grey colorways. Get it on Nike for $275.
2. ASICS GEL-Lyte 3 Tonal Black and Red
One of ASICS’ most popular streetwear silhouettes has been treated with two new clean colorways. Both the GEL-Lyte 3 and GEL-Lyte 5 come with either all-red or all-black dressings, with just a speckled midsole to contrast on. Premium materials have been used for the upper. Get them on RockCityKids for $110.
3. New Balance M990CER
The latest M990 iteration from New Balance resembles to something that just popped up from beneath the hot desert sand. The stylish retro colorway will please conservationists while the bulky structure will appeal to runner enthusiasts. Get it on Bodega for $190.
4. adidas NMD_R1 “Grey/White”
There have been a lot of, let’s say, exotic iteration of the NMD_R1 shoe, but not everybody might be into Salmon or Off-White tones. Adidas combined an EVA midsole, synthetic upper and TPU strips to create a decent runner shoe in a plain, simple grey. Available for $130 at SneakerPolitics.
5. Highsnobiety x Vans Vault Old Skool “Sand”
For the last part of HighSnobiety 10 year celebration, dubbed #HSDecade, the fashion website teamed with Vans Vault and released Old Skool “Sand”. A full tonal upper painted in buttery sand nuance resting on a clean white midsole. Branding is extremely discrete, nuanced the same with the midsole.
