    Picture this scenario

You’re stuck on an overcrowded tube. Headphones wedged over your ears. Volume turned right up. Yet, you can still hear everything echoing behind the music. The same happens when you set off on your morning run. And at the cafe.

This is an annoyance most have to deal with. However, with the innovative thinkers that assembled on Kickstarter, there’s something very exciting eagerly waiting around the corner.

    Introducing the OSSIC X Headphone

“The world’s first headphone that instantly calibrates to your anatomy for the most accurate and immersive 3D audio.”

It’s no secret that we all hear the world differently. We are all unique and so is the way we process sound. This is based on our individual anatomy; specifically our positioning in space, the size of our head and the shape of our ears. Something our ordinary headphones don’t take into account.

By ‘pairing advanced 3D audio algorithms with head-tracking and individual anatomy calibration’, California-based OSSIC enable a listening experience that’s ten times more immersive than current technologies.

So what does this really mean?

It means that with the OSSIC X headphone, you will be delivered audio that is indistinguishable from reality. The music will absorb you. OSSIC aim to transport you into a concert hall with your favourite band, a theatre showing your favourite movie and into the virtual environment with your favourite gaming characters. All through the power of immersive sound.

With multiple drivers situated in the ear-chamber, the sound you experience will feel like it’s all around you, consuming you with the high quality audio the producers wanted you to hear.

OSSIC’s Kickstarter campaign has been an outstanding success, funding a total just shy of $1M with 50 days still to go, despite asking for just $100k. Even with some of Kickstarter’s previous successes, that’s an incredible result.

With such a huge backing behind the OSSIC X Headphone, I think it’s safe to say that when the OSSIC X hits the shelves, your tangled earphones will no longer be a concern.
