Only a few hours from Europe by plane, African continent offers big surprises and one of them is obviously Morocco, the Atlantic African balcony.

Morocco, officially the Kingdom of Morocco, is one of the three countries along with France and Spain to have both Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines. It’s Arabic name al-Mamlakah al-Maghribiyah means “The Western Kingdom”. Being one of the most diverse countries in Africa, Morocco possesses high green mountains, sweeping yellow desert, rugged blue coastline, beautiful women and tasteful food and drinks.

All around you can see magic. It’s like a wizard took his magic wand and richly colored this beautiful land. Magic colors of Morocco are unique and so intense in their brightness that you will always remember their clarity. My dear fellows, let me present Morocco to you through its colors. Enjoy the pictures and be sure that they can’t show you Moroccan amazing and real beauty.

    1. The perfect turquoise – Ouzoud Waterfalls, Azilal

Ouzoud Waterfalls are located in the province of Azilal in Morocco. Ouzoud means “the act of grinding grain” in Berber and the frequent mills in this region confirm this translation. Olive trees cover the bottom of the falls and at the summit of the falls, there are old small mills that local people still use. The bottom of the canyon sometimes can’t be distinguished because it’s nearly 600 meters down.

Ouzoud Waterfalls are the most visited site of the region. Maybe because of the greenest green water you will ever see or because of the vicinity, green valleys, mills, orchards and a superb circuit of the gorges of the El Abid River (“Slaves’ River” ). These waterfalls are protected and preserved by many local and national associations. The site is absolutely amazing! We had lunch overlooking the falls and what an experience.

Take a guided tour to this place. The hike itself is a little tough but well worth the effort.Go and spend a perfect day with nature and enjoy this spectacular green sight.
Here I have chosen some pictures only for you guys, so I hope you will enjoy them.

    2. The perfect blue – Chefchaouen – Morocco

Chefchaouen, the blue city of Morocco, is one of the most picturesque and charming Moroccan cities. It’s also called The Blue City. Here, guys, you can take the best pictures ever. Mountains are all around the city, and its peaks dominate it.
There’s a small fortress called La Kasbah that was built back in 1471.

Chefchaouen is famous by mixture of religions and there’s big and important religious heritage with dozens of mosques, oratories, zaouias and mausoleums. The Holy City, El-Madina Es-Saliha, is the other name of Chefchaouen. Come to this Moroccan attraction, spend a few days here taking pictures, exploring the whole city and relaxing in its street cafes while drinking Moroccan mint tea.

    3. The perfect green – mint tea, national drink of Morocco

Moroccan national drink is perfect green mint tea. Moroccans have tradition in drinking tea and the way they make it is regarded as a type of art. The social importance of this ritual made even the poorest families in Morocco to have representative silver teapots and hand painted glasses. This mint tea is called “Moroccan whiskey”and it’s served three times a day, at noon and after meals.

    4. National dish couscous – the perfect yellowish

If you want to taste the real Moroccan life, you should know how to prepare the perfect Moroccan national dish. Here I present to you one of the Moroccan simple recipes for couscous salad and be sure you will impress your woman.
It only takes 25 minutes to prepare it.

    Ingredients:

1 cup quick-cooking couscous, ¼ cup raisins, 1¼ cups boiling chicken or vegetable stock, 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 clove garlic—minced, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon ground coriander, ½ teaspoon ground ginger, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 carrot—peeled and grated, ½ red pepper—diced, ¼ red onion—finely diced, 1 cup canned chickpeas—rinsed and drained, 2 tablespoons finely chopped flat-leaf parsley.

    Method:

Mix the couscous with the raisins in a bowl and pour over the boiling stock. Cover with a dish towel, plate or plastic wrap to seal in the steam and let sit for 5 minutes. Place the oil, lemon juice, garlic, spices, and salt in a jar with a screw-top lid and shake to mix. Fluff the couscous with a fork to separate the grains and stir through the carrot, red pepper, onion, chickpeas and parsley. Pour over the dressing and toss together until well combined.

    5. The perfect red – Marrakech, Morocco

Marrakech, the magic red city, where all buildings are made from red bricks. It’s the most exciting imperial city in Morocco. Marrakech is full with markets, gardens, palaces, and mosques.  The historic Medina is so interesting and surprising that can easily eat up a day.  At the serene Jardin Majorelle your soul can find peace. You can breathe in the beauty of one of the city’s historic mosques, but don’t forget that unless you are Muslim, you are not allowed to enter.
