According to Ozzy Osbourne, he stopped doing acid in the 1970s after having a conversation with a horse on one of his trips. Talking to a horse on acid was the last straw for him. Lastly, Ozzy Osbourne quit taking acid.

The rock icon was discussing the recording of Black Sabbath’s fourth album, “Vol. 4,” during the group’s turbulent prime in a recent interview.

“We lived together in a house in Los Angeles, rehearsed there, did loads of drugs, and made an album: simple. Those were good times.” Osbourne recalls.

He also mentioned that he would take acid with almost everything including his drinks, especially in America. “I took 10 tabs of acid then went for a walk in a field. I ended up standing there talking to this horse for about an hour. In the end, the horse turned round and told me to fuck off. That was it for me.”

After that incident, Ozzy admitted:  “I don’t drink alcohol anymore…I don’t smoke tobacco. I don’t use drugs…I’m doing good right now.” Ozzy Osbourne quit taking acid and it was the most important decision of his life.

Osbourne also said in an interview that a religious phrase in ‘One Of Those Days,’ an upcoming duet by the two musicians, offended Eric Clapton.

In order to promote his upcoming 13th solo album, “Patient Number 9,” Osbourne talked about the song. “One of those days / That I don’t believe in Jesus,” the song’s lyrics begin.

Osbourne said that the line will “cause crap,” citing Clapton’s response as evidence. Clapton is a born-again Christian.
